“God gives you what you need”

A little Frasher boy is what God ordered for us!!  We’re so excited no matter what it is. Some people say boys are easier the first time around but my mom wouldnt know that would she?? Hehe!! A co-worker of mine said the coolest thing to me when I was explaining to her how I wanted a girl so badly in the beginning….she said “God gives you what you need.” I thought that was so intuitive of her. It’s just something I never thought I’d hear.

thank heaven Pictures, Images and Photos

Anyway, onto the good stuff…we got to see EVERYTHING!! She took measurements of things that looked like a blob of black to us, hehe! She took cross section measurements of his brain, checked to make sure he had 4 chambers in his heart, measured all of his bones, even a measurement of his lips to check for cleft pallat (I know I’m not spelling that right but I’m sure you’ll get it) the list goes on and on and on. I feel so blessed that everything about him is developing just as it should be. He’s almost a pound already!! He smiled at us and waved and spent 99% of the visit playing with his mouth, eye and feet. So, since the theme of the nursery is going to be jungle/rainforest/monkey theme, he has followed suit and turned into “Mommy’s Little Monkey”!! Hehe!!

I can’t even begin the measure the things I’ve been blessed with in recent years…I didn’t think so much happiness in one persons life was possible, or maybe at least not in mine. It’s always harder to see the things we have a hard time believing in until they smack us in the face. My revelation started with my darling husband. I don’t know what I would do without his love and support. And I tell you what, my friends have been instrumental in my ongoing happiness. The older I get, I’m truely beginning to see how life really comes together if you’re patient and believe that ANYTHING is possible. I even have new friends that have become the kind of friends I didn’t expect them to be, in a good way. Everyone is special to me/us in their own way. They all have their own way of fulfilling our life and that, I am truely grateful for!
